The Actuarial Foundation has launched an Advancing Student Achievement (ASA) math mentoring program at Mount Carmel High School.

Mentoring opportunities will allow you to:

Work with students: Work with 10th - 12th grade students on calculus research projects.

Participate in innovation: For one hour per week, during the weeks of May 11 – June 5, work with students on projects from Calculus Mysteries & Thrillers by R. Grant Woods or Student Research Projects in Calculus, by Marcus Cohen et al. These projects along with the assistance of their actuarial mentors will give students the opportunity to apply the calculus they have learned in the classroom to solve “real-world” problems.

Work in a fun environment: The program is fun and flexible - Exact dates and times will be determined based on your schedule!
